Aminomethyl Propanol (AMP) Aminomethyl Propanol Organic amine base that raises pH and neutralizes carbomers into exceptionally clear, stable gels. Citric Acid Citric Acid Natural weak acid for pH adjustment, chelation, and gentle exfoliation. The most-used acid in DIY cosmetics. Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) Potassium Hydroxide Strong base used for liquid soap and pH adjustment. Produces soft potassium soaps and clear neutralization. Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH / Lye) Sodium Hydroxide Strong base. Essential for cold-process soap making and for neutralizing carbomer gels.
